A Buddy is a local student who, on a voluntary basis, helps an exchange student throughout his/her stay in the new country.  In general, he/she will help you with practical matters.

What should you expect from your Buddy:

  • Buddy should contact you before your arrival in Warsaw (if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask him/her)
  • Buddy will help you to get from the airport/railway station to your apartement when you arrive
  • he/she helps you with accommodation and other formalities which you have to fix after coming to Warsaw, such as getting registered with the authorities because getting used to new reality can be sometimes difficult, Buddy is there to help make it easier, 
  • he/she will advise on where to shop and introduce you to university premises, parties, meetings etc.
